The creativity quotient here at BlastPoint just skyrocketed. When live harp music emanates from the Development Team’s corner office, everyone knows Daniel Totten, Data Science Analyst, all-around Renaissance man, is in the building.
And we couldn’t be happier.
Creativity, curiosity and excellent communication skills are, after all, three of the major qualities we look for when hiring data scientists.
Dr. Totten has them all—and more—in spades.
(And plus, hearing that harp music is so soothing! What a way to end a work week!)
That’s why we are thrilled to announce that Daniel Totten has joined the BlastPoint team. Please join us in welcoming him!
With in-depth full stack web development experience, a PhD in biochemistry and a rich background in biology and medical research, Daniel has spent the last decade building applications, analyzing data, solving problems, improving processes and training others effectively.
Working alongside him over the course of the past summer, we can attest that he continues to do so, always with compassion and consideration of issues that arise from every angle. Thus, we consider ourselves extremely lucky to be joined by a professional with such a wide-ranging scope of wisdom.
As part of our growing Dev Team, Daniel’s role involves performing analyses and manual inspection of the BlastPoint tool, writing customer-specific scripts, running tests and updates, creating logic for new features, improving existing ones, helping to streamline our backend processes and, along with other daily tasks, he’s assigned this last one himself: “spreading cheer.”
He achieves this daily, we can assure you. But when he brings his harp (or baritone sax!) along to the office, we feel even happier to have him on board.
We would be remiss if we failed to extend an equally warm welcome to Sadie and Appa, Daniel’s two adorable dogs, who occasionally join Bug, BlastPoint’s other office canine, in curling up at our feet while we work.
Welcome to BlastPoint, Daniel!
